MODERATES AT JUDGE

• Athletic Department Support

Karla Keller has been an educator at Judge Memorial’s beginning in 1989. She teaches classes in health and physical education. Additionally, she assists the athletic department with running the time-clock, music, scoreboard, and score books for home athletic competitions.

Always willing to offer assistance to support her colleagues, Ms. Keller will take on new challenges and lend support wherever needed. “Judge Memorial feels more like a family than it does a career. We are all in this learning environment together with the goal to be the best you can be while lifting others around us up.” While in high school, Ms. Keller's high school Health Careers Exploration teacher motivated her to consider working and teaching in a medical-related field of study.

In her classroom and in the activities she moderates, Ms. Keller reinvents the traditional and explores new educational methods providing a broader experience for her students. Filled with special guests, hands-on activities, workshops, and more, Ms. Keller's classroom is one filled with energy and inquiry. She initiates discussion on tough issues, encouraging students to get involved to create change, while remaining constant and true to their beliefs and values.

Like a true health teacher, Ms. Keller enjoys exercising and being active. You may find her walking, hiking, jogging, or weightlifting in her spare time. A little known fact she shared was that in 1984 she was a contestant on “Wheel of Fortune" and won an automobile!
