EDUCATION

• B.A. in Spanish for Health Professions, Idaho State University

Madi Brown joined the Judge Memorial faculty in 2023 and is teaching four levels of Spanish from Spanish 1 up to AP Spanish. She is originally from Southern California, but just a year after high school she started a journey that would lead her all over the world. She has visited 16 of the 21 Spanish speaking countries so far, and hopes to add more to that list very soon.

She traveled for a few years doing service projects abroad where she gained her love of the Spanish language. She then went on to pursue her undergraduate degree in Spanish for the Health Professions from Idaho State University.

While in college she had the opportunity to hone in on her teaching skills while tutoring Spanish. She was fortunate enough to help students working in many different levels and aimed to make language learning as enjoyable as possible. Although academics were important, she also made sure to take advantage of the extra curricular classes like kayaking, caving, cycling, and swimming while in school.

Since graduating in December of 2020, Ms Brown has spent her time working a variety of jobs including substitute teaching and completing Spanish translations. She is excited to share her passions with her students. She cannot wait to see what else the world has in store.

On her own time she had the chance to complete a half Ironman in Panama City Beach, Florida in 2019. Now she enjoys spending time cycling, swimming and participating in Barre classes.
