An alumnus of Judge Memorial’s class of 1997, Patrick Lambert has been principal of Judge Memorial Catholic High School since 2015. The foundation of his early Catholic education prepared him for his future career path. Prior to Judge he was principal of St. Joseph High School in Ogden, vice principal and middle school math and science instructor at the Madeleine Choir School, taught physics at Juan Diego and was the head coach of their championship lacrosse team.

When asked, “What is the favorite part of his job?” Mr. Lambert responded, “I love working with inspiring people. Our teachers make you want to continue to learn.” This respect and admiration is seen on both sides. A member of his staff described him as someone who, “Never takes moments or people for granted.” “He is deeply thoughtful, spiritual, and he enjoys life to the fullest!”

When not at school, Mr. Lambert is most comfortable in the outdoors sharing adventures with his wife and young children. He has been a volunteer for Splore for over 22 years providing outdoor adventures for people of all abilities and backgrounds as a river guide. He served as a ski naturalist for the U.S. Forest Service for over 14 years. He has been bit by a mountain lion and charged by a bear! He admits that if he hadn’t pursued his current career as a principal he would most likely be a fishing guide.

One piece of advice he would give his students is to, “Never give up! Life is incredibly beautiful. Take a moment to enjoy it.”
