Amy Kolb

Amy grew up in a small farming community in the Pacific Northwest before attending Washington State University where she studied languages, music, and political science. Upon graduation, she served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.

After her mission, she relocated to Utah and worked in an athletics department before attending graduate school. Her varied work experience ranges from being a cattle wrangler in Colorado, cooking on a train in Alaska, to being chased by dogs as a mail carrier. As a high school, undergrad, and graduate student, Amy participated in various study abroad programs to Ecuador and Spain. She was a guest lecturer while in Spain and taught Spanish and ESL at the University of Utah.

Upon graduation, she became a bilingual flight attendant and flight attendant instructor until the onset of Covid. She then pivoted into a conversational engineer role helping to design chatbots in Spanish and English.

When not at school, you can find Amy enjoying her auntie role, playing cello and piano, and having outdoor adventures with friends and family.
