AWARDS & HONORS

In 2021, Judge Memorial was selected as a National Blue Ribbon School, regarded as the nation’s most prestigious academic recognition, coinciding with our 100-year anniversary.

The announcement, made by US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona, marks just the second time since 1998 that a Utah high school has received the award since Judge Memorial last earned Blue Ribbon honoree status in 1998.

The distinction positions Judge as Utah’s only four-time Blue Ribbon winner and the only high school in the state to earn the honor more than once. Since National Blue Ribbon Schools launched in 1982, Judge has also earned the recognition in 1984, 1989 and 1998.

The Washington Post also lists Judge in the top 1% of most challenging high schools in the country, a top-25 private school nationwide, and the top-ranked high school in Utah.

Judge students are no strangers to individual accolades. They are recognized regularly as National Merit Scholars, United Nations service standouts, Poetry Out Loud winners, Rotary Club honorees, PBS NewsHour’s Student Reporting Labs award recipients, and as appointees to our United States military academies. An average of 70 percent of students make our quarterly Honor Roll, while more than half the student body earn High Honors of 3.5 or above. Last year, 343 students took 664 AP exams and 10 seniors earned the AP Capstone Diploma.
