ANNUAL GIVING & CAMPAIGNS
Annual Appeal funds are put to work right away to help pay for budgeted expenses – from classroom materials to technology to science lab consumables – just to name a few. Your gift strengthens the education opportunities available to our students by: improving academic and athletic programs, supporting faculty development, providing tuition assistance and offering the best learning environment possible.
A gift to the Annual Appeal means you believe in the work of our school, the dedication of our teachers, and the impact a Judge education will have on a student’s future.
We also introduce Annual Appeal initiatives for signature campaigns such as Day of Giving, Sponsor a Student and Students for Students.

Judge Memorial’s program, Sponsor a Student, will provide the funds necessary for any qualified student who wishes to receive a quality education at Judge Memorial to do so regardless of their financial means.
The desired outcome of this program is to support the fulfillment of our mission to provide rigorous academic programs and foster intellectual and social development of a diverse student body. While the daily educational work at Judge Memorial transforms the lives of its students, a question often asked is “how can the school provide this exceptional education to students who have the academic potential but not the financial means?”
Based on Need: Sponsoring a Student at Judge Memorial will remain based upon need and will be awarded to students who will benefit from the curricular and co-curricular programs offered.
Commit Partially or Fully: Sponsors may commit to partially or fully fund the tuition for one or more students for one year or may elect to sponsor a student for every year the student is enrolled at Judge Memorial.
Giving Levels include:
$2,500
$5,000
$7,500
$14,685 – Cost of Full Tuition for the 2024-2025 School Year
Diverse Student Body: With this program, Judge Memorial’s student body will remain culturally and socio-economically diverse. Currently, 36 percent of Judge Memorial student body self-reports as a minority and over 66% currently receive some kind of tuition assistance.
By being a part of the Sponsor a Student program, you can change the life of a student who would not have otherwise had the chance to attend Judge Memorial without your generous support.
For more information regarding this program, please contact Liz Betty at 801-517-2133.

If your life insurance policy is no longer needed or will no longer benefit your survivors consider making a gift of the policy to Judge Memorial. You can also designate Judge Memorial as a beneficiary of all or part of the value of the policy which would transfer upon the death of the named insured.

With the need for financial help growing every year, our commitment to limited tuition increases and keeping Judge accessible to as many students and families as possible, our long term growth in our Judge Memorial Catholic High School Foundation is a priority.
A great way to help ensure the future of Judge is to create an endowment fund to benefit the school. A strong endowment at Judge will help us forth the mission of the school in perpetuity. Interest from the endowment helps meet the challenge of maintaining affordability and tuition reduction annually.
The income from gifts may be designated for a variety of purposes. A named endowment fund may also be established with a minimum gift of $10,000. Behind each of these gifted funds is a strong commitment to Judge’s future. Whether created in honor of an inspiring teacher or coach, in memory of a loved one or in response to a particular need of the school, these funds share a common act of leaving a legacy at Judge. Contact Jimmy Soto.
Looking to the future, another significant way in which one can make an impact on Judge Memorial is to consider Judge as a beneficiary in their estate planning. For organizations like Judge, this can be one of the most significant ways in which one can provide long term resources to an organization’s mission. Donors can include Judge Memorial in their wills, trusts, insurance policies or other forms of estate planning. The following gifts may create an opportunity to avoid capital gains tax and reduce income tax by creating an opportunity to receive a charitable deduction for your gift. Contact Jimmy Soto.
CORPORATE
If you are a corporation or foundation seeking to partner with Judge Memorial, please contact Jimmy Soto, Director of Advancement, at 801.517.2166 to discuss our strategic priorities as they relate to your mission. Sponsorships will allow donor visibility in school publications and at events throughout the year. Proceeds from corporate and foundation sponsorships benefit all students at Judge Memorial.
The value of your gift could double, perhaps even triple, in size if your current employer, or the current employer of your spouse, offers a matching gifts program. More than one thousand companies nationwide participate in the matching gift program. Businesses, companies, and corporations often match contributions to qualified non-profit organizations, e.g., Judge Memorial. Many companies continue to match retiree's gifts, too.
As you consider your own support for Judge Memorial, please contact your human resources department or visit your company’s website for details. If your gift qualifies, obtain a matching gift form from your employer and send the completed form to the Advancement Office with your donation.
A non-cash gift, also called gifts in-kind, are gifts of personal property and are accepted by Judge Memorial if they can be put to good use, if they serve a worthwhile purpose in the life of our school, or if they provide clear benefits to our school. As Judge Memorial is a non-profit organization, all gifts in-kind are tax deductible. We will ask you for detailed information regarding the gift. These details will then be used for tax purposes. Contact Joyce Munson.
A donation in recognition of a friend or family member is a thoughtful contribution and a wonderful way to recognize someone’s life and accomplishments. Contact Joyce Munson.
