Derick has been in the Judge community since his oldest daughter started here in 2012. All three of his children attended and graduated from Judge Memorial, Isabel 2016, Emily 2019 and Jack 2022. Since late 2020, Derick has been a substitute teacher, and came on full time in 2023 in the Learning Resource Center. During the 2022-23 school year he did long-term substitute teaching stints in History, Economics and the Learning Resource Center.
Derick has been a lacrosse coach at Judge since 2019, and before that he coached in the youth lacrosse program. His passion for lacrosse comes from east coast roots. Derick was born and raised in Connecticut, before moving to Colorado, then to Chicago, then to Utah, then back to Connecticut and finally back home to Utah in 2006.
Derick has been in the financial services industry since 1996, and still maintains an independent practice. When Derick is not at Judge, he loves to exercise and be outside, mountain biking, golfing, playing pickleball, and running. He loves spending time with his wife of 28 years Jori, their dog Rigby, and his three children.
